Family Ministries:  Jere Allen

Jere Allen is not only loves to teach the Bible, he has a love for families and a desire to help families live as God intended.  Jere exemplifies our  motto, "a friendly, growing church who believe that God and a church family can make a difference in your life, marriage and family."

Jere gives leadership to our family ministries at Bayside.  Working with a dedicated team of volunteers he oversees our KidZone ministries and our summer Vacation Bible Camp.

Jere is married to Crissi and they have two daughters.  Jere grew up in San Jose; Crissi moved to the Bay area as a teenager from the Philippines.  In addition to working as a technology specialist for schools, Jere also works with Crissi to lead HEART Academy.

Jere's 20+ years of teaching experience include youth ministry, Bible, math, history, science, literature and computers for grades K-12.  His professional experience in Silicon Valley focused on training adults in software applications.  Jere graduated from San Jose Bible College majoring in Bible and Theology with a minor in math.  He is currently director of Technology Education for Beyond Technology Education helping schools to use innovative technology tools to improve teaching and learning.

Jere and Crissi desire to see revival within the family.  Most importantly, that parents teach their children the ways of the Lord.  This cannot happen until Mom and Dad experience the Holy Spirit’s victory in their lives themselves.  Reaching a child’s heart and capturing it for Jesus is the way to keep a remnant, a Holy people, set-apart for Him so that others can see the glory of God.  They believe that a dynamic yet authentic family will be a sweet aroma to those who do not know Him yet.  This legacy is what they want to share with all Christian families.
