Romans 15:13

Jesus is our hope… and our JOY!

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

1. The joy of the Lord is my strength

And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

2. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice

This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

3. Joy is a choice:

a. What you desire

Galatians 5:22-23

[22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

[23] gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

b. What you dwell on

Philippians 4:4-9

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice… think about these things.

c. What you do

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

[16] Rejoice always,

[17] pray without ceasing,

[18] give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Psalm 70:4

May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you!

May those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!”
