Faith: Active confidence in the God who has revealed Himself

Faith is believing the Word of God and acting upon it

  • no matter how you feel

Jesus, the Cross, and You

Part 1 – Jesus Through the Eyes of Others

John 3:16

Ephesians 2:1,10

Part 2 – You Through the Eyes of Jesus

Matthew 27:27-56

1. Jesus is mocked and beaten (Matthew 27:27-31)

2. Jesus died on my cross (Matthew 27:32)

3. Jesus willingly suffered (Matthew 27:33-34)

4. Jesus fulfilled scripture (Matthew 27:35-44)

5. Jesus willingly died (Matthew 27:45-50)

6. Jesus was victorious on the cross (Matthew 27:51-54)

7. Jesus is loved and worshiped (Matthew 27:55-56)

Because this is true:
I once was a mocker, now I love and worship him
He took my place on the cross, I now have victory through him
He willingly suffered and died, I now have eternal life
He is the promised messiah and the fulfillment of scripture, I now can claim God’s promises through his name
